Rurrenabaque, an “important” tourist destination in the world

The Minister of the Presidency, Yerko Núñez, today highlighted a survey by the American newspaper New York Times that ranks Rurrenabaque, a region of the Bolivian Amazon, as one of the “most important” tourist destinations in the world.

“The world turns its eyes to Bolivia and its tourist and natural wealth, (and among) the best destinations in the world to travel in 2020, according to a survey by the New York Times, we can see that Bolivia is with the tourist destination Rurrenabaque “he reported at a press conference.

Núñez affirmed that an important step to achieve this achievement was the suspension of visas for citizens of the United States and Israel that the current government resolved. He called to take advantage of the publication of the prestigious American media to promote tourism activity.

“It is important for all of us to be able to continue making progress on this issue, we will continue to do so and we will continue to support the conservation of our protected areas,” said Núñez.

In addition, he said that tourism articulates integration and local economic development, improving the living conditions of many populations.

“Bolivia has different tourist attractions such as the Uyuni salt flat, Chiquitania, Lake Titicaca and the Bolivian Amazon. For the country it is very important, because the world is once again taking a look at Bolivia,” he said.
